History

Bobovac was strategically built in a remote mountainous area, fortified with massive stone towers and double walls. It served as the administrative center where official charters were signed. The royal chapel was decorated with Gothic stone reliefs and fresco paintings.

Today, the ruins of the gate tower, the royal court, and the reconstructed royal burial chapel stand as a monument to the peak and eventual fall of the independent Bosnian crown.
