Powers

- •Full authority over healthcare, education, local police forces, cantonal budgets, and environmental regulation (mostly decentralized to the cantons).
How members are chosen
Direct general elections for FBiH House of Representatives and President, indirect for FBiH House of Peoples and cantonal delegates.
Veto and blocking mechanics
Dual-chamber ethnic quotas and caucuses to protect interests of constituent groups (Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs).
